Loan Operations Specialist

The Loan Operations Specialist position is an entry level position that is responsible but not limited to administrative functions of the loan approval process to include post-closing document review and delivery. 
 
Responsibilities 
 

Complete standard tasks

• Order and confirm 3rd party employment verifications (current and past) to review, compare and verify against provided information

• Order real estate appraisals or evaluation to ensure closing timeline is met

  • Conventional, FHA and VA

• Confirm and send lender’s title order request

• Complete Real Estate contract review – confirm customary fees, title company, seller credits and identify milestones to ensure a smooth transaction

• Contact Real Estate Agent to confirm licensing information and title company details

Document Processing

• Manage incoming mail and email folders, including but not limited to scanning, logging and distribution

• Manage web-based document center to identify a wide spectrum of mortgage documents to label and confirm

• Manage Document Recognition system to accurately identify and categorize for LOS System

Post-Closing

• Review deeds, mortgages and title policies to ensure correct fees on “Final” Closing Disclosure

• Scan and overnight original deeds, mortgages and title policies to forward to investor for post-closing

Additional Duties

• Request Foreign Credit Reports

• Complete GEO Coding

• Review and update the system periodically with confirmed details obtained from 3rd parties

• Work within established regulations and always adhere to industry requirements

• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the mortgage industry is preferred but not required

• Enthusiastic attitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to handle a fluctuating pipeline including daily follow up and prioritization of new tasks

• Ability to excel in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment

• Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Maintain current and fluid knowledge of industry and investor guidelines changes

• High school graduate mandatory

• College degree preferred but not necessary
