ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and follow all applicable GMP, SOP’s, SSOP’s, and Safety/LOTO procedures
  • Know how to start up and shut down the lines
  • Recognize the different dough textures and run consistent batches
  • Keep hoppers filled with dough
  • Properly measure the minor ingredients for various formulas
  • Properly use Line 11 hand add system
  • Check dough temperature
  • Be able to fill the AZO
  • Fill and clean all ingredient barrels
  • Clean dies after changeovers
  • Clean mixers, control panels, all stainless steel, and complete daily/weekly 5S
  • Check all flour sifters at scheduled times and complete magnet checks
  • Check all drives, cookers, salters, ovens, dryers, discharge, and proofing conveyors etc.
  • Document cuts-per-minute as required
  • Check and record caustic every 30 minutes
  • Check wet weights/length every 15 minutes, record results once an hour
  • Check product at end of oven every 30 minutes
  • Check transfers while performing product checks
  • Check cooker temperature every 15 minutes and record once an hour
  • Document and record lit burners at beginning of the shift
  • Check dampers for correct settings
  • Keep salters full
  • Keep salter platforms and under salter area clean and swept and covers in place
  • Notify Supervisors, PMO’s, QA, and Packers of any bad product and how long it will last
  • Catch bad product at the back of the oven
  • Must be able to do a changeover in the 30-minute allotted time frame
  • Keep floors swept, mop before shift change
  • Empty trash barrels
  • Perform & document formula verifications
  • Be able to clean the line within the scheduled time frame
  • Communicate with immediate Supervisor if any problems arise

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One-month related experience or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information to other team members of the organization
  • Basic skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and pass annual lift test
