We are looking for a Development Manager for 37.5 hours per week to implement the strategic fund-development plan in Seattle, WA. The main office is located in Northgate with some remote work access as agreed upon. Travel within King and Snohomish counties required.

This person will show enthusiasm in working with a mission-driven team and plays a critical role in expanding financial growth to support our neighbors in need. The ideal candidate will be sensitive and respectful of all people.


  • Collaboratively develop and implement a comprehensive 3-year strategic fund-development plan.

  • Tactical implementation of the 3-year strategic fund-development plan will include: 

- Case statement to communicate funding needs and return-on-investment for potential partners. 

- Defining, updating, and maintaining a segmented donor list within the donor database. 

- Researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals. 

- Collaborating with staff on major donor caseloads and corporate giving relationships.  

  • Cultivate relationships with established partners/donors; conduct partner/donor solicitations. 

  • Identify and develop new sources of funding including: public, private, corporate, and foundation. 

  • Research, write, and submit grant proposals.

  • Promote and advocate for programs/services through presentations to the public.

  • Coordinate partner and donor-focused events. 

  • Manage all donor/data tracking and reporting through CRM.


  • Experience with donor database/CRM management.

  • Driver’s License, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.

  • Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher.

  • Legislative advocacy experience, particularly in acquiring operational funds is a plus.

  • Graphic design experience is a plus.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. At least three years of fund-development experience within a nonprofit or government relations setting with a proven track record of success.
