The Professional, Talent Acquisition is responsible for the recruitment of a qualified and diverse pool of candidates for assigned departments. Provides support and guidance to hiring managers in the sourcing, selection and hiring process. Partners with assigned departments to provide support and guidance regarding talent acquisition and other HR related issues. Collaborates with HR focus areas to achieve goals and provide excellent service and support to internal and external customers. Develops and executes a talent acquisition strategy for their business areas in support of the organization’s workforce plan and evolving talent needs. Supports organization by effectively and efficiently networking, sourcing and hiring the most qualified candidates for assigned open positions. Determines proper recruitment strategies to fill open positions. Provides evaluation and insight from interview to hiring manager and discusses selection decision with hiring manager to assist in determining the most qualified candidate for the position. Determines salary offer in conjunction with the hiring leader and/or TA Sr Leader. Extends and negotiates job offers, including discussion of salary review practices and benefits. Provides feedback to TA Sr Leader regarding any concerns/ issues with salary and benefits vs. market. Adheres to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action standards. Promotes Employer Brand in recruitment efforts. Assists Sr Leader with development and evolution of MVP Employer Brand. Implements Brand Strategy ensuring consistent use of messaging through updates to website, application, promotional materials, advertising, social media, recruitment activities, job/career fairs. Uses appropriate tools and technology related to Talent Acquisition (including but not limited to candidate assessment tools, HRIS, Talent Acquisition module) to ensure the most effective, efficient, and optimal use of the tools and technology to attract and select the most qualified candidate. Assists hiring leader in interpreting results and using information in selection process. Participates on cross-department HR project/initiative teams. Provides training and development on TA related topics as well as in support of cross-functional HR efforts (i.e. Onboarding, Management Development and HR Policies and Procedures). Provides day-to-day training on HR policies and procedures to leaders throughout organization to ensure departmental compliance. Provides training and tools to employees and managers that allow the ability to perform their jobs more efficiently and encourage self-sufficiency (ex. documents on public drive, functions in HR systems, Leader documents). Ensures compliance with Federal and state employment and related laws and provides guidance on these laws to clients. Maintains tracking and reporting for necessary governmental and legally required reports, including EEO/AA reports. Attends training conferences, seminars, and legal updates to obtain and continually enhance knowledge of the labor and legal requirements. Provides suggestions on updates for HR Policies and Procedures. Works closely with HR team to coordinate and run various companywide coworker events. Performs other related duties as assigned. #zip
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, equivalent amount of education and experience may be considered. PHR/SPHR or other HR related certification a plus.
Minimum Experience: 2+ years of professional level HR experience required with demonstrated experience in talent acquisition functions (sourcing, recruitment, interviewing, negotiating, etc.). HR Business Partner/Generalist experience strongly preferred. Experience in the recruitment of technical positions strongly preferred.
• Superior skills in interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, mentoring, coaching), team building, and meeting facilitation required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to network and source candidates using traditional methods (online, print media, job fairs, etc.) as well as social media vehicles and other alternatives.
• Negotiation skills and ability to effectively manage the hiring process (selling the position, determining appropriate offer philosophy, closing the deal) required.
• Software: MS Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point). Familiarity with HRIS software.
• Some travel including overnight stays periodically may be required.
