Downhole Products designs, manufactures, and services application specific casing accessories and cementing tools for the Oil and Gas industries.   • Direct the global financial operations of Varel across multiple areas of finance, including financial planning and analysis, financial control, accounting, tax, treasury, and credit and collections.

  • Direct corporate financial planning and strategy for the Varel organization operating in the oil and gas industry.

  • Have full global responsibility for the consolidated Downhole Products (DHP) P&L Balance Sheet.

  • Provide improved financial data to aid DHP management to drive the strategy.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of functional strategies that have mid to long-term (3-5 years) impact on business results in alignment with the organization's objectives.

  • Direct internal controls and compliance, global transfer pricing, NWC improvement/cash generation, financial hedging and cashflow management.

  • Manage international treasury functions, utilizing financial instruments, such as hedging, swaps & forward contract strategies managing unrealized & realized FX exposure.

  • Responsible for international compliance, reporting lntrastat & ECSL and implementing international group internal controls, including governance.

  • Direct and oversee the analysis of financial information (e.g. profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return etc.)

  • Responsible for SAP ERP development and implementation (Manufacturing (MRP/MPS), Distribution (WMS), CRM) for the organization. Responsible for preparation and sign off of global statutory accounts, including implementation of IFRS and
    group consolidation.

  • Oversee reporting requirements and statutory audit requirements.

  • Develop and implement turn around strategies in global entities resulting in successful improvements in EBIT, NWC & cashflow.

  • Manage and oversee the continuous improvements of the Finance Department.

  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting to include streamlining none-value added activities.

  • Manage and oversee the activities of the Company's Finance Department.

  • Plan, assign, and direct the work of reporting team members within the Finance department.

  • Responsible for the hiring, firing, promotion and training of employees, as well as appraising employee performance.

  • Address and resolve employee concerns and take appropriate personnel action, as necessary.

  • Work alongside the Vice President to formulate and administer Finance policies and procedures and develop long-range goals and objectives for the Varel organization.

  • Direct the business and planning processes and assist the CFO with reporting needs of shareholders, banks, and government bodies.

  • Coordinate all banking relations for and on behalf of the company.

  • Review financial analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress towards Company goals and objectives.

  • Direct and implement cash management and working capital initiatives for the Company, as well as oversee all financial reporting, utilizing knowledge of company's financial management policies and procedures.

  • Drive efficiency in the company's Finance operations and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Varel organization.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and eight (8) years of progressive experience
in accounting, applied economics, and all aspects of financial management; five (5) years of management experience, global ERP implementation (Manufacturing (MRP/MPS), Distribution (WMS), CRM), implementing global transfer pricing
policies, preparation and sign off of global statutory accounts including implementation of IFRS and group consolidation, developing and implementing turn around strategies in global entities resulting in successful improvements in EBIT, NWC & cashflow, managing international treasury functions utilizing financial instruments such as hedging, swaps & forward contract
strategies managing unrealized & realized FX exposure, international compliance, reporting lntrastat & ECSL and implementing international group internal controls, including governance

 

ALTERNATE REQUIREMENTS: Ten (10) years of progressive experience in accounting, applied economics, and all
aspects of financial management; five (5) years of management experience, global ERP implementation (Manufacturing (MRP/MPS), Distribution (WMS), CRM), implementing global transfer pricing policies, preparation and sign off of global statutory accounts including implementation of IFRS and group consolidation, developing and implementing turn around strategies in global
entities resulting in successful improvements in EBIT, NWC & cashflow, managing international treasury functions utilizing financial instruments such as hedging, swaps & forward contract strategies managing unrealized & realized FX exposure, international compliance, reporting lntrastat & ECSL and implementing international group internal controls, including governance

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

25% international travel and 10% domestic travel.
