Donor Relations and Records Manager
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Donor Relations and Records Manager for the Nashville Area Command, located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Job Summary
The Donor Relations and Records Manager assists the Development Director, within the authority of the Area Commander, in the development, implementation, administration, evaluation, management, and maintenance of an aggressive fundraising and donor program. Responsible for developing and implementing engagement and fundraising strategies or enhance and grow revenue with donors. Accompany the Director in fundraising by presenting analytics and assisting with other direct communications with donors. Administers all aspects (including systems, reports, research, data integrity) of maintaining the confidential donor and prospect information system and managing the gift receipting system by using established fundraising procedures. Provides quality customer service to donors and prepares analytics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the operation and capabilities of computer databases. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Skilled at maintaining accurate, current donor records, or customer accounts. Skilled in customer service. Ability to prepare mass mailings according to bulk mail procedures. Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations. Excellent data entry skills.
Education and Experience
High School diploma and two years of college in Business related area; degree preferred, Or Five years of experience in donor relations and analytics, and performing administrative support and/or operating a computer database record system, along with customer service experience; Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Proficient ability to type and keypunch information into a computer.
Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment. Light mobility; duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
