Savage is looking for a new dynamic team member who is a go-getter, is willing to work hard, do what it takes to get the job done and grow within the company to do things you never dreamed possible.  As the Washbay Technician your primary responsibilities will be to safely wash the interior and exterior of tank rail cars and tank trailers and to perform tote transfers.

Responsibilities  

  • Washes the interior and exterior of trailers and railcars 
  • Washes, reconditions and re-certifies chemical totes
  • Operate waste water treatment plant in accordance with all regulatory requirements (i.e. LAWPCA/DEP/OSHA)
  • Disassembles, washes, and reassembles filter housings, hoses and pumps
  • Move and stack palletized product using Powered Industrial Equipment (forklift)
  • Tote chemical transfers
  • Loading and unloading of trailers and railcars
  • Professional interaction and collaboration with other Savage Team Members and customers
  • Assist with keeping the warehouse clean and organized
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Loading and unloading of trailers and railcars
Qualifications 
  • Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand mathematical concepts
  • Read and speak English sufficiently to read signs, documents and understand instructions
  • Attention to detail

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Drivers license

Physical Requirements:

  • Commitment to working safely at all times
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment, such as respirators, Tyvek suits, protective boots, and hearing protection
  • Lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the course of a shift
  • Consistently sit, kneel, squat, bend, stand and climb on elevated surfaces
  • Must be able to bend, stoop or crouch throughout the day
