Small Business & Employment Resources Coordinator, Reference
Hours:
40 hours a week
Some evenings and weekends required
Job Purpose:
Promote awareness and use of Library resources and services to support small business and employment information needs of Library patrons and the community.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with community organizations to develop small business
and employment programs, services, and referral networks to provide excellent
resources and services to Library patrons.
2. Prepare and present programs and outreach about small business and employment resources and services to audiences in the Library and in the community.
3. Assist with the planning, promotion and strategic growth of the Library’s small
business and employment services.
4. Assist with tracking metrics and assessing impact of small business and employment services.
5. Assist with collection development and maintenance of resources to support the small
business and employment needs of Library patrons and staff.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Master’s Degree, other advanced degree or equivalent experience
Must possess a commitment to a high level of public service to Library customers
Must possess excellent communication and organization skills
Must have strong business sense and/or experience with small business ownership and entrepreneurship
Valid Driver’s license with good driving record
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
Ability to bend to very low shelves or reach to very high shelves when retrieving Library materials
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Ability to push a full cart of books or other Library materials
Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to operate various types of Library equipment
Ability to use a pc, word processing and e-mail
