DWH/BI QA lead will drive quality testing solutions by planning and constructing test scripts using quality processes and methodologies best practices. Develop end-to-end testing strategies. Define and track test metrics, including code coverage, quality, and performance. Execute testing efforts by delivering application and component releases. Coordinate and execute regression testing, test automation, performance testing, functionality, and usability testing. Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts. Define Test Plans and entry/exit criteria. Develop, update, and maintain quality testing standards and procedures. Lead other Testers on the testing team and manage testing process questions and/or issues. Create test models (plans, data, and scripts), including test data. Optimize process and methods to deliver quality work.
 

Responsibilities

  • Create Test Plan, Test Strategy, Test Metrics based on project type and requirement

  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results

  • Reviewing status reports from team managers and taking appropriate actions accordingly.

  • Managing and mentoring QA testers

    Qualifications

    • Ability to work in Agile development environment - closely working in a scrum team to identify test requirements.

    • Writing test scenarios, test cases and come up with own set of test data for different test scenarios/cases.

    • Executing functional as well as regression- tests.

    • Strong Understanding of SDLC and role of a QA Analyst.

    • Strong on SQL query writing and understanding of data

    • Strong Understanding of software testing techniques and tools.

    • Review and guide development team on effective unit test cases and unit testing

    • Managing, mentoring and providing technical guidance/support to junior and mid-level software testers.

    • Familiar with QA automation test creation & results reporting

    • Be committed to the deadlines through effective follow - up of tasks with team members

    • Set processes for test plan reviews and ensure that that test plans get re-viewed by all stakeholders

    • Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.

    • Experienced in defining and implementing E2E test strategies (including automation aspects) and industry best practices

    • Experience working with near/offshore Delivery Centers   

    • University degree in Computer Sciences, or a business-related university degree with a strong IT affinity

    • 8+ years of deep experience in Software testing (including test automation); Project Management & Program management in both Waterfall and Agile delivery models

    • Proven experience with agile & DevOPS methodologies

    • Certification of ETL and Data Warehouse technologies is desirable
