The Sr. Global Compensation Specialist acts as the Subject Matter Expert for the Global Compensation and Payroll Services team, participating in client implementations, training other specialists in compensation procedures, and tracking performance on client Service Level Agreements. Specialists are responsible for international assignment payroll services for SIRVA Relocation clients, working closely with client HR/Payroll teams, their international assignees, and other global assignment professionals within SIRVA.


Responsibilities:

-Subject matter expert in expatriate payroll services for international assignments.
-Creates and delivers payroll instructions for client’s local payroll providers prior to local deadlines based on international assignment balance sheet. Works with client’s tax providers when additional calculations and reports are required. Completes payroll reconciliation, compensation accumulation, and shadow reporting tasks. Delivers all required reporting per client schedule. 
-Participates in implementation and system setup during client implementations. Leads client meetings with local teams as required. Participates / leads internal SIRVA meetings related to implementation as directed.
-Answers client / team questions about system and procedures. Troubleshoots issues. Develops and documents procedures with team members.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS
• 6+ years working in an international payroll, global mobility, or auditing role
• In depth understanding of expatriate payroll administration
• Proven customer service focus and collaborative working style
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
• Proficiency with Excel and ad hoc report writing tools

 

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree and/or global mobility or global payroll specialty designation preferred
