Cell Culture Media Sales Project Manager

What you can look forward to accomplishing:
Sales Development Activities
Define, execute and monitor sales tactics at accounts with local Sartorius bioprocessing sales reps and key account managers
Develop and execute sales development action plan at key accounts with key account management
Monthly monitor and report on sales and margin performances per product groups in the sales area and implement action plans to meet the area business objectives in the sales area
Implement action plans to meet the area business objectives
Interface with KAM and sales team on a daily basis
Train and support the Sartorius sales organization on existing and new products
Project Management
Qualify (and is some case uncover) new Media sales opportunities
Identify decision makers and key buying influences
Manage the whole media/buffer selection/optimization/validation project with the customer
Establish timelines and priorities (project management over few years)
Manage Standard and Custom CCM project portfolio, document potential business, define priorities, monitor quotation lead times, and improve our success rates; manage RFQ projects with the Custom CCM structure and Project Management
Manage complex CCM key customer projects with sales, product management, quality to ensure successful positioning, definition and implementation of CCM solutions
Market Assessment
Assess market dynamics and customers’ requirements
Report on competitors’ products and tactics
Provide regular feedback from the market to the CCM product management
Communicate Sartorius Stedim Biotech’s key messages to the market via regular customer visits, customer seminars and presence at congresses
Skills and experience that you need to bring to our company:
Market knowledge (customers and competitors) in the life science arena preferred

Qualifications:
3+ years sales experience in the life science industry required
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related discipline; technical education in biology with strong knowledge in Cell Culture
Preferred:
2+ years’ experience in Cell Culture and Process Development (eventually in cGMP bio-processing environment), bio-therapeutic proteins or cell-based protein production preferred
