AWS Engineer:


RxBenefits is hiring! This position will be responsible for daily administration and operation of the data network, servers, Cloud Computing platforms, and other hardware supporting applications used by RxBenefits employees and clients, with a focus on our AWS infrastructure. He/She is responsible for implementing and supporting existing network, infrastructure, and cloud technology solutions within the organization and analyzing, evaluating, and implementing additional solutions productively and effectively.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement AWS architectures and environments
  • Design and Implement AWS monitoring systems
  • Lead the evaluation and recommendation of AWS tools and technologies
  • Interact with Management and the Development Team
  • Work with DevOps to develop cloud-enabled CI/CD platforms
  • Work closely with the Development team to enable them to fully utilize AWS technologies
  • Work with IT Security to develop AWS security settings
  • Responsible for administration and monitoring of servers and application systems, including configuration, upgrades, backups, and patching
  • Assists in support of 3rd party hosted applications
  • Responds to systems alerts, investigates and resolves related system failures, and recovers/restores failed systems and applications


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent work experience
  • AWS implementation and administration experience
  • Scripting capability and ability to develop scripted AWS infrastructure
  • Cloud Automation experience: Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux
  • Experience with RDS preferred
  • CloudTrail and CloudWatch experience a plus
  • Experience with Snowflake a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and processes to achieve commitments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills to all levels of the organization
  • Process and technical documentation skills

Experience with core AWS platform architecture including:

  • Environment and application automation
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery
  • AWS Security
  • AWS Networking
