NCG is seeking a full-time Clinical Assessment Specialist in the Danville, VA area. The successful applicants are responsible for the following:

 

Clinical Assessment Specialist   

  • Provide diagnostic and comprehensive clinical assessment services to clients face to face;

  • Intensive clinical and functional evaluation of a client’s mental health, developmental disability, or substance abuse condition;

  • Prepare diagnostic or clinical assessment reports with recommendation regarding whether the client meets target population criteria for services;

  • Develop initial treatment plan based on the information obtained through the assessment interview;

  • Coordinates care with other assigned clinicians, peer support, and medical practitioners, working within the National Counseling Group’s care network;

  • Complete Independent Assessment, Certification and Coordination Teams (IACCTs)

  • Provide at least the equivalent of 8 CNAs/IACCTs per week (annual re-assessments of IACCT follow-ups count as half credit);

  • Provide Outpatient services to individuals receiving IIH, TDT, and other services as needed.



Applicants should possess good clinical documentation skills, experience working with and assessing mental health illnesses, and the ability to work within a fast-paced behavioral health environment.


Education:

-Master’s Degree in the human services field from an accredited college or university

-Must be licensed (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or licensed eligible in Virginia
