Professional, Client Support
This position serves to provide day-to-day support to the commercial large group sales and account management team. Specific responsibilities include: daily sales, renewal, and administrative support for large group new sales and client engagement teams, proposal support, rate quote preparation, assistance with preparing reports and presentation material. Resolution, including monitoring and tracking, of broker and client issues through responsive problem solving and coordination with other departments; in-depth interaction with brokers, consultants and their support staff; cultivating relationships with broker benefits staff. Responsible for new member enrollment packet preparation, and new group/renewal paperwork completion and submission. This position will have extensive interaction with external brokers and customers, sales and marketing staff and MVP’s operational departments including but not limited to Sales Operations, Actuarial, Underwriting, Enrollment, Group Set Up, and Member Services. Strong relationship and communication skills are required. Performs other duties as assigned.
BA/BS preferred or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Two years in customer service or sales environment within a managed care, health insurance company, financial services or brokerage agency.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This includes both written and verbal communication skills.
•Working knowledge and understanding of managed health care and conventional insurance products including medical, dental, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, and tax deductible and other employee benefit programs. Must possess or be able to learn a broad understanding of alternative health plan funding mechanisms and health care financing and rating methodologies.
•Working knowledge and ability to learn sales and account management tools, processes, techniques, and principles.
•Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, support the sales team to formulate strategy, and makes decisions using data and good business judgment.
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
•Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when conducting company business and when handling account, customer and member information.
•Ability to professionally communicate at all organizational levels with clients, sales staff and brokers.
•Excellent analytical skills and strong motivation are required.
•Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Neat, well-groomed and professional appearance.
•Good organizational and time management skills; good problem-solving skills and attention to detail a must.
•Must possess, or obtain within 60 days from date of hire, New York State Insurance License in life, accident, and health.
•Must obtain the MVP Medicare Certification Training within 60 days from date of hire, or prior to first sale, whichever comes first.
•Valid drivers’ license and access to vehicle.
