Manages the day to day operation of the accounting office and assists the Controller in providing financial leadership to the business. Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability.

Maintain Accounting Goals
-Ensure strong local internal control environment, periodically audit and assess operation areas of risk.
-Oversees Accounts Receivable billing, collections, chargebacks and ledger
-Facilitates monthly Credit meetings.
-Controls all cash including banks, deposits, and petty cash. Takes deposits to bank.
-Reviews invoices for accuracy and codes to departments.
-Assist in the preparation of weekly forecasts, month end journal entries and reporting.
-Ensure compliance to all payroll processes. Completion of daily payroll
reporting to team enabling attainment of payroll objectives.
-Reports are completed in timely manner, ensuring attainment of all deadlines.
-Ensures team members are cross-trained to support successful daily operations.
-Communicates financial concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand and drives desired behaviors.
-Orients property managers to the accounting function and coaches to effectively manage their department’s financial performance.

Education and Experience
-4 year bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related major.
-Minimum two year work experience in accounting or related field.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing,
identifying and solving problems as necessary.
The major responsibility in this position is to control all matters pertaining to billing and monies, therefore a significant portion of the workday is spent moving about, speaking, and listening, often while sitting.
The vast majority of time is spent at a desk while communicating with staff or guests.
Close supervision and interaction with staff and Department Heads is
essential in this position.
Reading and writing abilities are used often in completing reports and correspondence.
Some time is spent utilizing problem solving.
Basic mathematical ability, percentages, budgetingetc. is utilized.
