Fuel Tax Specialist - Fuel & Miles
Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm
Promote the eFuel process to new and existing BCO's. Be able to process the data provided by the fuel tax vendor and maintain a good working relationship with the vendor, BCO's, LCAPP, Compliance and other customers. Ensure all miles and all fuels are captured and reported and correctly charged to the BCO's. Be able to assist the BCO's with information that can minimize their tax liabilities by auditing and providing an analysis of existing fuel purchase habits and to offer solutions regarding fuel purchase decisions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Contact Business Capacity Owners (BCO's) and explain the eFuel program and sign up process
Set up the monthly deductions for each tractor.
Set up new tractors on the website of the fuel tax vendors
Maintain each tractor on the fuel tax vendor's website and make any necessary updates throughout the month
Analyze the weekly reports from fuel tax.
Audit the GPS and fuel data from fuel tax vendor
Provide customer service to BCO's and drivers by answering fuel tax related questions.
Counsel BCO's and drivers on International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) requirements
Analyze high fuel tax charges and provide recalculation of charges as needed.
Determine acceptable fuel receipts base upon IFTA requirements and enter the purchases on the vendor's website.
Process rejection letters for unacceptable fuel.

10-key skills 110+kpm, required
PC skills - Excel and Word, required (iSeries 400, preferred)
Previous fuel tax experience, preferred
Excellent verbal and written skills, required
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to multitask or change tasks as needed with a strong commitment to quality
Customer service experience, required
Must be able to perform quality work with minimal supervision
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Previous experience in balancing accounts, helpful
Position requires an individual who is dependable, reliable and accepts accountability for work performed
Must possess a high level of diplomacy
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; plus college or technical certificate; or one year related experience required.
