Plastics Engineering Intern
KI in Green Bay is looking for an Engineer Intern for our Plastics Department to help on our 1st shift. This individual will work closely with technicians and engineers in this department.
Main Responsibilities include the following:
Develop understanding of manufacturing process within Plastics Department
Support, troubleshoot, and assist with problem solving for equipment and manufacturing process concerns.
Analyze manufacturing data and suggest improvements
Complete engineering projects assigned by Plastics Engineer.
Assist with training of Plastics Set-up/Process Technicians
Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work environment while constantly striving for increased levels of the same.
Implement and assist in the success of Lean manufacturing methods.
Qualified candidates must be currently enrolled in an Engineering program with preference given to Manufacturing Engineering. Ideally, this position is for a student who is has at least completed the first two years in their program. In addition to this, the qualified candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to be analytical, and be a creative problem solver.
This position will likely be at 20 hours or less January through May. It will increase to 40 hours per week during the months of June, July and August
