KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our Manitowoc manufacturing facility.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the strategy and delivery of HR services in the areas of recruitment, performance management, compensation, organizational development, safety, legal compliance, policy and procedure development, and general day to day HR issues.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement policies and procedures including handbook review and revisions.

  • Assist managers with performance management, discipline and team building opportunities ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

  • Develop and oversee strategic employee programs

  • Serve as lead investigator for harassment, discrimination and other claims/complaints.

  • Manage leave of absences, accommodation requests and legal claims.

  • Represent the organization at hearings

  • Coordinate employee recognition efforts including budgeting and administration.

  • Develop and coordinate performance review process.

  • Coach and council technicians, coordinators and managers as needed.

  • Assist with development, implementation, evaluation and communication of KI strategy, policies, procedures and initiatives.

  • Synergize and provide support to local KI plants and corporate HR as needed.

  • Strategize and coordinate the recruitment of office and plant staff.

  • Coordinate sourcing of candidates including advertising, job fairs and educational relationships.

  • Develop and maintain job descriptions that accurately depict the essential functions, knowledge and strategy of the organization.

  • Develop and coordinate safety initiatives including awareness, compliance, incentives and enforcement.

  • Provide on-call case management for worker’s compensation and return to work programs.

  • Ensure legal compliance with OSHA regarding polices, training and recordkeeping.

  • Conduct regular audits and hazard assessments.

  • Oversee the safety team and first responder programs.

  • Forecast needs of organization and employee career development.

  • Schedule and/or conduct various training sessions throughout the year including: mandatory safety topics, goalsharing, and legal compliance.

  • Maintain knowledge on Affirmative Action and EEO laws and regulations.

  • Provide strategy for achieving goals identified in AAP including outreach.

  • Develop and manage the plant compensation program.

  • Obtain market salary data and review internal equity to ensure plant technician wages remain competitive.

  • Advise managers on compensation regarding transfers, promotions and demotions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • Two years+ of Human Resources and/or leadership experience with proven progressive responsibilities.

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification(s) preferred.

    level employees.

  • Time management skills to effectively accomplish tasks with emphasis on quick turnaround during seasonal recruitment efforts.

  • Extensive computer knowledge

  • Perceptive, sensitive and confidential to nature of tasks

  • Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade

  • Using logic, reasoning and sound judgement to evaluate alternative solutions,
    conclusions or approaches to problems.
