  • Responsible for the general oversight and day to day operations of an OTC/Cosmetic product production line(s)/area

  • Responsible for employee safety, product quality, and productivity of a designated area/line

    Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Provide instruction and assistance to operators on packaging lines

  • Verify, on a day to day basis, that other team members are following Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, completing records, and operating safely.

  • Train Production personnel on procedures, work instructions, housekeeping guidelines and manufacturing directions and to ensure all are followed.

  • Demonstrate the operation of equipment and the completion of records.

  • Follow regulatory procedures including the handling and labeling of waste (hazardous and non-hazardous)

  • Interact with other departments as appropriate to transfer product or work on special projects.

  • Interact with other departments as appropriate to ensure consistent and reliable production flow

  • Good communication skills: written and oral.

  • Ability to follow guidance and instruction from the Supervisors with urgency.

  • Accurately execute production and quality related documentation.

  • Evaluate product for defects and capable of performing quality checks

  • Responsible for reading and understanding Filling and Assembly (FA) Specifications.

  • Responsible for the oversight of packaged finished goods according to FA Specifications

    Secondary Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Keeps production areas clean and orderly at all times.

  • Perform and oversee work while adhering to OSHA regulations, including observing Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, Hazardous Material and other safety requirements.

  • Identify or recommend new equipment and/or methods to improve productivity and capacity.

  • Communicate performance expectations to team members and provide feedback when appropriate.

  • Observe timeliness of day to day activities to facilitate meeting production schedules.

  • Investigate errors, accidents and quality defects.

  • Ability to maintain safety, quality, and production on multiple lines if necessary.

  • Ability to coach and direct a rotating or changing work staff with positive attitude and results.

  • Performs additional tasks or duties as assigned.

    Education & Experience:

  • High school graduate/GED

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years with progressive leadership experience in a filling and packaging environment, preferred but not required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have the physical skills and ability to work a flexible schedule around frequently changing production demands.

  • Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets and safety precautions of tasks involved.

  • Good understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations (GMP’s).

  • Understanding/following written instructions, attention to detail.

  • Self starter with strong work ethic.

  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel for long periods of time.

    Working Conditions:

  • Good working conditions; climate controlled

  • Long periods of standing, bending, stooping, squatting or kneeling.

  • Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment throughout production floor (Electric Pallet Jacks)
