Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Responsible for planning the daily maintenance work schedule.Assigns maintenance personnel
to meet production and maintenance schedules.Ensures maintenance personnel are adequately trained and/or identify
training needs.Understand and implement all applicable company and customer Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and all
safely regulations.

  • Using production schedule, responsible for tracking,
    planning and initiating wash outs and changeovers.

  • Ensures change parts are returned to proper locations
    and mechanics are filling out requisitions for all parts issued out of
    parts room.

  • Prepares and maintains accurate and timely
    documentation including changeover logs, cleaning logs, wash out logs,
    machine maintenance logs and other departmental reports.

  • Suggests changes or corrections to ensure consistent
    production demands and quality standards are met.

  • Submits cost reduction ideas to supervisor.

  • Responsible for the downtime in assigned areas.Reports abnormal conditions to
    supervisor including machinery or equipment malfunctions and
    unsatisfactory employee performance.

  • Identify training needs of all maintenance personnel.

  • Assists in planning and scheduling Preventative
    Maintenance (PM) on all production equipment.

  • Comply with OSHA Safety, FDA and cGMP requirements.

  • Responsible for ensuring that maintenance employees
    maintain clean, neat and safe work areas, that company practices and
    policies are followed and ensure maintenance mechanics work with other TTL
    employees in a respectful manner.

    Work with all departments in a team atmosphere.

  • Maintains production equipment.

  • Capable of running any line or equipment on the
    production floor.

  • Capable of rebuilding major pieces of equipment on the
    production lines.

  • Reads and interprets blue prints and manuals.

  • Able to supervise a small crew with little assistance.

  • Trains operators and mechanics on work instructions and repairs.

  • Skilled in welding and fabrication.

  • May operate forklifts and manual hand trucks.

  • Performs additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate/GED

  • State Journeyman’s Card

  • 4 years experience in a production environment

  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Good written and oral communication skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform all duties required of
    a maintenance Mechanic III and is able to train others in these duties

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic

  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills

  • Ability to perform many tasks simultaneously and mange
    time efficiently

  • Ability to plan ahead and prepare action plans to
    achieve results

  • Training in General Safety, GMP, Lockout/Tag out,
    Quality System Awareness, and Harassment Awareness

  • Capable of long periods of standing, bending, stooping,
    climbing on ladders, squatting and kneeling

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Good working conditions; Climate controlled

  • Requires use of some powered equipment

  • Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment
    throughout production floor (Electric Pallet Jacks)
