Scope:


The
position is responsible for the production planning and scheduling to direct
the manufacture of goods.


Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Create a production schedule to meet
    customer demand.Must consider
    resources, timing, capacity, PM work, downtime, equipment efficiency, and
    priority.

  • Use MRP and related reports as tools
    to schedule.

  • Confers with department supervisors
    to determine progress of work and that completion dates are being met.

  • Compiles reports on progress of work
    and production issues.

  • Communicates and
    provides feedback to Management and team members regarding inventory issues,
    shortages, capacity concerns, or any reason why the schedule will not be met.

  • Interacts with other
    departments to achieve production goals and meet customer requirements.

  • Provides future view to
    upcoming schedules to all concerned department for resource planning and headcount
    allocation

  • Provides weekly review
    of schedule attainment by resource.

  • Reviews daily
    production status reports and monitors work processes for completeness and
    accuracy.

  • Assess capacity requirements and
    production time available to process special or urgent orders.

Other
duties as needed to support the objectives of the organization


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years experience in
    production/material control

  • SAP experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Problem solving and
    analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and
    Word.

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic.

  • Strong communication and
    interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to recognize and resolve
    conflicting priorities, operate within a fast-paced production environment and
    effectively communicate requirements to the production floor and manufacturing
    department.

  • Knowledge of raw
    materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques
    for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
