Raw Materials Sampler
This position will perform manual inspection and sampling of all incoming raw materials in accordance with all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WI).Must understand and implement all cGMP and other laboratory related regulatory requirements.
Inspect and sample all incoming raw materials in a warehouse environment.
Use of aseptic sampling techniques and ensure all corresponding documentation is correct.
Maintain work area and equipment free of chemical and/or microbiological contamination to insure validity of test results and safety of work environment.
Sample multiple lots of raw materials.
Assembling and calibrating instruments.
Assist in pulling raw material from racks using forklift
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Two (2) or more years of college or high school graduate with Chemistry or related sciences knowledge.
Experience working in an analytical laboratory.
Forklift Experience, desired.
SAP experience, desired.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets and safety precautions of tasks involved.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Strong problem solving, analytical methods and technical skills.
Good understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations (GMP’s) and OSHA safety requirements.
Self-starter with strong work ethic.
Strong communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, team building and organizational skills.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently and effectively.
Ability to plan ahead to minimize potential issues as well as to meet company growth objectives.
Good attention to detail.
Knowledge in aseptic sampling techniques.
Knowledge of laboratory equipment.
Must be 18 years or older.
Able to work overtime & weekends as required.
Wear hairnet, safety glasses, long pants, steel toe shoes/boots and any other uniform standards.
Read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
Sit, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods of time in one place.
Lift items up to 50lbs
