·Entry level position with an undergraduate degree in an engineering / technical field, or relevant work experience in lieu of a technical degree


·Organize inventory and storage areas. Monitor inventory and re-stock as needed

·Perform labeling and tracking of parts, fixtures, and assemblies

·Generate purchase requisitions and material requests

·Organize tools and fixturing, order replacements, and specify new tooling as required

·Maintain and replenish lab operating supplies, materials, and chemicals

·Perform data entry while following standards for consistency, accuracy, and organization

·Understand and comply with company and customer requirements for safety, tracking and control

·Perform maintenance operations on vacuum pumps and other equipment as needed

·Coordinate items needing movement and/or shipping

·Perform assembly of electronic PWBs, cables and enclosures

·Conduct compliance verification of completed assemblies via visual inspection and electrical testing

·Provide technical support and status reporting to scientists and engineering staff as needed



·Experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment

·Experience with hand soldering and electronic assembly equipment

·Use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

·Database operation, data entry and correction

·Experience working in a creative team environment



·Basic knowledge of organizational concepts, procurement processes and inventory control

·Understanding of electronic and mechanical parts and components


·Ability to understand and comprehend engineering documentation such as: drawings, bills of materials, specifications, requirements, and process instructions

·Understanding of database concepts and data organization / standardization requirements

·Understanding of configuration management and shop floor control is beneficial



·Possess good organizational skills and mechanical aptitude

·Must be able to work well with a team and individually

·Ability to lift and move small to moderate sized test equipment

·Must be able to perform tasks safely in a lab environment



· U.S. citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
