ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Support and assist staff scientists and engineers for design, simulation, fabrication, and integration of advanced electronic hardware (HW). Set up and conduct DC and RF testing of electronic components and integrated modules or subsystems. Report results to technical staff.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Hands on experience with electronic circuit/HW design and assembly. Experience with low and high-frequency circuit/EM simulators desired. Experience with standard electronic test equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer or vector network analyzer.
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Must have basic understanding of electrical engineering, passive and active components/circuits. Familiarity with CAD layout for PCB and/or IC (e.g., Cadence, ADS, or MWO) is desirable. Familiarity with RF and microwave integrated circuits concepts, such as scattering parameters, input/output impedance matching, noise and power is plus.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (e.g. driver’s license special tools or restrictions): U.S. citizenship required.
