Engineer I - Photolithography
EDUCATION DESIRED: BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields OR 5+ years experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Become a member of a team that produces the world’s fastest GaN transistors and MMIC’s as well as quantum nanoelectronic devices.Join a dedicated and growing team doing hands-on fabrication and processing within a class 10 cleanroom environment.Work on cutting edge production and research of advanced semiconductor technologies and materials such as GaN, SiC, and InP. Primary job function is efficient operation of top of the line photolithography steppers, direct write laser tools, coat and develop clusters, chemical benchtops and spinners.Write and perform experiments in collaboration with lead technical staff, to support recording and analyzing photolithography results and statistical data.Work closely with research staff and present results, options and recommendations to HRL main technical management and customers. Work closely with team members to write customized job files developing novel processes requiring utmost accuracy and attention to detail for critical fabrication processes.Provide timely communication and collaboration updates to customers regarding work submitted.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Experience and skills in processing of semiconductor devices and circuits, with an emphasis in photolithography. Experience with photolithography tools including coat/develop tracks, sub-micron steppers, direct write lithography, image reverse, and inspection tools including SEM and/or CD-SEM. Candidates should possess a proven track record of developing novel and successful solutions to complex technical issues.
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Knowledge of semiconductor processing and devices with a focus in photolithography. Computer programming skills in VB, .Net and MS Excel, Powerpoint, and Word. Experience working with databases (MSSQL, oracle, etc) are a plus. Use of standard processing and analytical tools and standard scientific software programs (JMP).
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be sufficiently mobile to work within confined spaces and have both visual and hearing acuity. Must be able to work within a class 10 Cleanroom. Must be able to work safely with and around potentially toxic and hazardous materials, chemicals and gases. Good hand eye coordination. Must be self starter and work with little supervision. Be a strong team player.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (e.g. driver’s license special tools or restrictions): Able to work flexible hours. U.S. Person status required.
The level of this position will be commensurate with the qualifications of the candidate.
