Engineer I – Test and Metrology Engineer (CDSEM)
EDUCATION DESIRED: MS or BS in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields, OR equivalent industry experience
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This exciting role will join the Test and Metrology team responsible for working closely with the semiconductor fabrication process R&D engineers to support daily operations using broad range of metrology solutions in the area of CD, profile, film thickness, and topography.
The candidate will have a chance to work with various metrology and inspection tools such as the optical microscopes, SEM/EDX, CDSEM, AFM, optical interferometer, profilers, etc.
Job functions include hands-on wafer handling and characterization based on existing written SOPs, developing new recipes and processes, recording and analyzing data, and presenting results.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE DESIRED: We value your 3 or more years of experience with microelectronics semiconductor fabrication (DRIE, RIE, lithography, ALD, PECVD, plating, metal and dielectric deposition, chemical-mechanical-polishing, wafer bonder, die attaching, etc) and experiences in various inspections and metrology technology such as the optical microscopes, AFM, SEM/EDX, CDSEM, profilometer, optical interferometer, etc. Have a good data analysis experience utilizing industry standard solutions. Familiarity with CAD mask layout design is a plus.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in use of computers, engineering work stations, complex electronic equipment, verbal and written communication, interaction with customers/colleagues and willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work well in a team and independently. Must be sufficiently mobile to work within confined spaces and have both visual and hearing acuity. Must be able to work within a class 10 Cleanroom. Must be able to work safely with and around potentially toxic and hazardous materials, chemicals and gases. Proficient in English in speaking, and writing.
U.S. citizenship status required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The position is for 2nd shift (12:00pm-8:30pm). Must be able to work flexible hours.
