Engineer IV - Nano-electronic Process Integration

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Join a team in the innovation and development of novel semiconductor integration processes for next generation electronic devices. This position will involve developing integrated process flows, designing experiments (DOE) for individual processing steps, designing process characterization measurement (PCM) structures, and defining test and metrology plans. Troubleshooting and resolve process problems and defining solutions. Work closely with program managers, unit process experts, and test colleagues to perform experiments and document experimental findings.
We value your 5 or more years’ experience in processing of semiconductor devices and circuits. Candidates should possess a proven track record of developing solutions to process development for FEOL or BEOL transistor and IC integration. Experience developing novel unit processes in lithography, RIE/ICP etching, CMP, PVD, PECVD deposition is desired. Experience creating metrology plans with CD-SEM, ellipsometry, and other in-line metrology is desired. Experience analyzing data, reviewing CAD, and other activities to make iterative processing improvements to increase yield. Experience interacting with test engineers. Experience with statistical analysis with statistical software including JMP is desired. Specific experience with Leica/Raith EBPG 5000 Series direct-write electron beam systems is a plus. Experience with Cadence Virtuoso for CAD layout and e-beam direct-write data preparation using the GenISYS BEAMER software is a plus. Experience with device simulation tools (TCAD) including Synopsys, Silvaco and Coventor is plus. Experience preparing and delivering concise, insightful, and engaging PowerPoint Presentations to team members and program managers.
Intermediate or expert knowledge of FEOL and BEOL transistor fabrication and integration is required. Expert knowledge of 2 or more unit process areas, including lithography, RIE/ICP etching, CMP, PVD, PECVD deposition is desired. Familiarity with CD-SEM, ellipsometry, and other in-line metrology is desired. Familiarity with electrical probe test and data analysis skills is desirable. Knowledge of data plotting using JMP or similar tools. General computer skills with office productivity software such as Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.

Able to produce technical presentations and reports, and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Able to work within a semiconductor cleanroom environment. Must be able to work with little supervision and be a strong team player.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship required. The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required. Preference will be given to candidates with an active security clearance. The ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time is required.
