Engineer I - Cryogenic Device Testing
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Conduct low-noise cryogenic measurements of few-electron devices. Assist in measurement system development, use cryogenic test systems, analyze samples using automated data acquisition equipment, and organize, update, and summarize measurement results. Requires frequent technical communication with team members, including oral and written reporting.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Experience in development and use of automated semiconductor data acquisition, and with the use of computer software for data storage, organization, and analysis is highly desired. Experience with cryogenic test equipment is desired.
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Understanding basic principles of low-noise measurement. Knowledge of basic electronic design and analysis. Knowledge of basic computer skills (spreadsheets, presentations, word processing, and scientific programming), and statistical analysis are a plus.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to climb ladders to use elevated test equipment. Must be able to work safely in a laboratory environment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: U.S. Citizenship. Must have or be willing to apply for a security clearance.
