ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS. Work with the team producing the world’s fastest GaN MMICs. We are looking for future leaders in our RF device technologies group. Lead research and development projects on RF semiconductor device and circuit technologies -- including wide bandgap technologies such as GaN and others -- for next-generation commercial and military applications. This position will involve both supporting existing GaN MMIC foundry technologies and developing new/novel materials and devices. Responsibilities will include RF device design, device and MMIC fabrication, test, yield and failure analysis, data analysis and reporting. You will supervise engineering staff to develop novel device microfabrication processes and techniques. Work with our circuit and system design teams, as well as epitaxial materials experts, to develop device technology solutions for future system applications. The position will also involve writing proposals and communicating results to internal and external customers. Must be able to work well in a creative team environment and possess excellent communication skills.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: RF semiconductor device design, processing, and characterization. Practical and theoretical understanding of RF semiconductor devices. Hands-on experience with microfabrication and developing semiconductor processes. Device modeling experience is a plus. Proposal writing and project management experience is a plus. Must have authored scientific publications and given technical presentations.
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: In-depth knowledge of RF semiconductor device physics and device engineering, as well as fabrication techniques. Technical writing and presentation skills.
