Hosparus Health’s nationally recognized, multidisciplinary CARES Teams offer medical care and pain management, individual and family counseling, personal care and companionship, spiritual care, crisis care and respite care.We also care for seriously ill children and their families through Kourageous Kids, one of the first pediatric palliative and hospice programs in the country. Our Louisville-based inpatient unit allows us to serve high needs patients.

As we plan for our future, we aspire to serve more patients and improve the quality of life in Kentucky and Indiana. To improve quality of life we must provide more in-home and supportive services to more adults, children, and families therefore Hosparus Health must expand to provide our services earlier to more people, expand our geographic reach, and expand the physical space we use to provide our unique supportive care services. To achieve our bold plan of expansion, Hosparus Health is currently in the quiet phase of a $24 million comprehensive fundraising campaign set to launch publicly in 2020. In preparation for this public effort, Hosparus Health is searching for a qualified, dynamic professional to lead our Development team and expand our culture of gratitude.


Vice President of Development(VPD) - Hosparus Health is seeking an accomplished fundraising professional with strong leadership and managerial skills, a strategic thinker, and process-minded problem solver. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the VPD will lead the development department and be responsible for the management of all staff and day-to-day operations. The VPD, in partnership with Campaign Committee of the board, the senior leadership team, development staff and campaign counsel will be responsible for the successful completion of the comprehensive campaign set to publicly launch in 2020. It is expected the campaign effort will support a sustainable fundraising model that will increase the amount of charitable dollars raised by the organization in future years. The VPD also oversees a prospect portfolio building on his/her demonstrated solicitation experience with six-and seven-figure gifts.

The selected candidate will be expected to manage to and achieve all fundraising goals and metrics; study trends; track progress; and analyze existing policies and procedures, making improvements as required in order to bring the campaign effort to a successful close and build the foundation for future major gift fundraising initiatives. Qualifications include a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in a fundraising role at a major not-for-profit organization, preferably within a healthcare organization.
