The Life Matters movement is coming to Kauai!  We are currently seeking a self-driven, community-oriented Business Development Officer to drive our efforts in building relationships to support the Kauai community as we open up a new branch in Lihue, Kauai.  As part of the Membership Growth Team, the Business Development Officer is responsible for managing, retaining and growing an assigned portfolio of business clients with deposit and loan account relationships that meet established lending and operational policies and provides maximum profitability to the Credit Union with minimum risk, with an emphasis on new deposit and loan acquisition, resulting in the generation of new business relationships for the Credit Union.  
 
The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Four-year college degree; business related preferred
  • Minimum three years sales experience in a similar field with knowledge of small business
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to make quick decisions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all professional levels including top executives, management and staff
  • Excellent presentations skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Decision making capabilities
  • Proven sales skills
  • Able to analyze business data and financial reports
  • Able to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed       
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Able to set and manage priorities judiciously
  • Addresses and solves business-related challenges as needed
  • Knowledgeable in Lending more specific to small business
  • Able to make cold calls
  • Strong organizational skills
