We are seeking a motivated IT Security & Service Analyst to join our Information Technology Services team. 

The IT Security & Service Analyst will assist in the development, maintenance, and administration of the CU Medicine Information Security program.   The individual in this role will work directly with the IT Service Management and Security Manager to implement, maintain, and improve IT service and change management processes

Responsibilities of the IT Security & Service Analyst include but are not limited to:

Security

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and administration of the Information Security program.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors on IT security initiatives such as SOC 2, penetration testing and vulnerability testing.
  • Support the development of security processes and procedures.
  • Research, recommend and assist in implementing changes to procedures and systems designed to enhance and meet IT security goals and objectives.
  • Assist the IT organization in remediation and compliance of regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate security audits and create documentation and remediation plans. 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation of IT infrastructure components and their inter-relationships and dependencies.
IT Service and Process Management
  • Assist management with the definition and development of IT processes.
  • Provide support in the development of standardized methods and procedures. 
  • Assist with service and event monitoring, and response management.
  • Recommend improvements to IT service operation functions aligned to the leadership team's priorities.
IT Change and Configuration Management
  • Facilitate and support the change management process to ensure the integrity of CU Medicine’s live technology environment.

HIPAA Protected Health Information Access: position requires contact with protected health information during the course of performing job responsibilities.  Specifically, while providing application technical support and may come into contact with any PHI data, which exists or is displayed on the server.

Requires 5+ years’ IT Security/ IT Service Management experience. Bachelor’s degree within the information technology field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.  Must demonstrate broad knowledge of IT applications, technologies and sound business practices.  ITIL Foundations Certification is a plus.  Broad knowledge of industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI, NIST, SOC 2 is preferred.  The ability to view and understand business from both a micro and macro orientation is required.  Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with constant changes.  Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide the appropriate level of detail (verbal and written) to both technical and non-technical personnel is essential to success.  Strong technical documentation skills are required.  Must be proficient in security process design.  The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, self-starter with high level planning skills.  Must be innovative and strategic, while demonstrating the ability to be a critical thinker..
