Pediatric Search Partners has been engaged to identify a Division Chief of Pediatric Oncology and Medical Director of the Hyundai Cancer Institute to lead the team of 12 Pediatric Oncologists at CHOC Children’s Hyundai Cancer Institute in picturesque Orange, California. CHOC Children’s is recognized as one of the best children’s hospitals in pediatric cancer, and five additional pediatric specialties, by U.S. News & World Report in 2019-2020.
As Division Chief and Medical Director of the Hyundai Cancer Institute, you will lead one of the few hospitals in the Southwestern United States that offers Phase 1 clinical trials through the Children’s Oncology Group. CHOC also offers a one-of-a-kind dedicated adolescent and young adult cancer treatment program. The hospital’s blood marrow transplant program is the only pediatric BMT program in Orange County.
The ideal candidate will be a leader in the field of pediatric oncology with the vision, drive and passion for growing a program that offers exceptional opportunity and resources. The Division Chief will have the flexibility of both administrative and clinical time to pursue the priorities, vision and goals set forth by the organization and the Institute. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment commensurate with experience with the University of California Irvine School of Medicine. CHOC Children’s is also seeking to expand its pediatric oncology program to surrounding communities, so this an excellent opportunity to lead the growth of a nationally recognized pediatric cancer team with young and entrepreneurial physicians working on innovative and cutting-edge treatment and therapies in the field of cancer.
