GENERAL SUMMARY

Manage the bank’s computer and software systems to ensure efficient use and control of technology. Requires experience in server administration and data management activities to ensure a consistent and highly available software environment. Responsible for identifying and implementing business process improvements and automation opportunities. Requires experience in overseeing projects from inception to delivery, including the ability to contribute to the overall project objectives in the role of business analyst. Partners and collaborates with business process owners, vendors and Information Technology staff to ensure successful system delivery and support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Oversee daily operations of all distributed applications including problem resolution, installation of new systems and upgrades to current systems

2. Analyze business and IT processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and efficiency

3. Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements by monitoring work queues in a timely manner

4. Build strong customer relationships across the organization

5. Ensure systems are secure through implementation of security best practices and procedures

6. Integrate software and computer systems by analyzing and developing requirements and specifications that address business functions and workflow

7. Create test plans and coordinate the testing and QA actions necessary to identify software/system defects, ensure adherence to business specifications, FFIEC guidelines and Bank policy, and incorporating industry best practices

8. Perform application system upgrades and maintenance steps

9. Participate and contribute in Disaster Recovery exercises

10. Take ownership of maintaining recurring System State updates; ensure that documentation is accurate and concise

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: BS Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience

Experience: 5+ years in an applications support position. Experience and knowledge of the financial/banking industry; and regulatory requirements (FFIEC) preferred. Experience with PC, Microsoft office suite, business applications, vendor applications, and vendor management. Experience in disaster recovery/application backup concepts and methods preferred.

Skills/Ability: Self-motivated with ability to work independently and meet deadlines. PC proficient, advanced skill level with all MS Office products; Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy; Strong analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to manage workflow effectively with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Ability to respond and reprioritize quickly to unexpected situations; and initiate corrective action quickly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
