Safety Manager

Ideal candidate must:

Have 5-10 years of construction safety and health experience. Prefer experience that also includes environmental remediation as well.

Possess working experience in the application of OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1926, 29 CFR 1910, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Safety and Health Requirements Manual EM 385-1-1 (Nov 2014)

Have excellent writing skills and experience with the development of Site Specific Safety and Health Plans and Accident Prevention Plan review and development in compliance with EM 385-1-1 Appendix A. 

Effectively provide guidance to Project Managers, Site Safety and Health Officers (SSHOs), and Site Superintendents/Competent Persons through monthly safety meetings and training.

Ability to lead and perform hazard analyses, determine hazard mitigation actions, and implement hazard controls for construction activities.

Ability to travel and perform safety audits at project locations throughout the US to ensure compliance with established procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements, specifically OSHA and EM 385 requirements.

Have experience in safety programs, procedures, and policy development including plan reviews and revisions.

Possess the ability to multi task, work with project teams, and communicate effectively using both written and spoken media.

Have proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.

Have a working knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements, injury case management, and workers compensation.

Understand leading indicators, how they are collected, and how they can be used in incident prevention efforts.    

The reporting office for this position will be in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.  The ideal candidate must be able to commute to the home office daily when not traveling.
