Vista Defense Technologies is seeking a Site Manager
Description: The SM manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities for complete NIPRNet and SIPRNet accessibility for the entire footprint of the 404th AFSBn-Charleston. The SM also determines project needs and acquires resources required for the success of the project. The SM also designs project plans which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel. For the purpose of the contracted services, the SM will be the primary interface with COR-1. The SM is not only responsible for technical delivery of services but is also responsible for the accountability for the financial and milestone performance of the Government’s contract. The duties include, but are not limited to:
- Leads cross functional customer delivery project teams by developing work plans within guidelines and monitoring progress on project milestones.
- Understands program/project roadmap and key milestones regarding criticality, downstream impact if dates are missed and determines alternative/mitigating actions.
- Coordinates the planning, management and execution of multiple related projects that are directed toward the same strategic objectives.
- Is familiar with and monitors all major project activities and escalates as appropriate.
- Records and monitors program/project actual costs vs. program/project budget.
- Responsible for proactively identifying variances to plan and developing appropriate mitigation plans.
- Partners with departmental leadership and key stakeholders to develop appropriate mitigation actions based on the program priorities and escalations.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Drives new or change tools and processes to move the department forward.
- Able to influence decisions through effective communication methods.
- Interacts with program sponsors, stakeholders and various project members to ensure that specified business needs are met.
- Understands how program decisions impact key business metrics and the enterprise strategy.
- Able to provide clear and reliable communications to internal teams, program stakeholders, external vendors, and customers.
- Defines & develops departmental program policies, processes, standards, governance, and metrics.
- Makes recommendations for improving efficiency, product delivery and expense reduction.
- Implements industry best practices and standards where applicable.
- Attends monthly meeting with customers to review current projects and new projects.
- Leads development of all project documentation, monthly reports and contract deliverables.
- Develop, implement and maintain internal policies, procedures and training plans for new hires.
- Monitor timesheets and approve during period end.
- Skill in working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines.
- Skill in using analytical and research skills in performance of job duties.
- Demonstrate high-end customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.
- Self-motivated to learn, troubleshoot, and complete projects.
- Be the technical expert backup for all positions under the span of control
Qualifications: Minimum seven to nine years’ experience as a system administrator for Department of Defense NIPR and SIPR networks to be inclusive of disparate network topologies. The experienced candidate will have work-related certifications with an Associate Degree in a computer related field.
Certification: IAT Level II: GSEC, CompTIA Security+, SCNP, SSCP CISA (Preferred)
Requirements:
- Candidates with a currently active SECRET Security Clearance - SSBI are highly preferred
- Upper level Systems Administrators will need to have comprehensive experience in deploying and implementing Windows Server patches and STIG’s.
