Acquisition Program Specialist
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide expert functional and technical support across several of the acquisition life-cycle disciplines to include requirements determination, cost/benefit analyses, analyses of alternatives processes and documentation, acquisition strategy/planning, PWS/SOW development support, source selection planning and support, procurement, program management, policy analysis, etc.
Provide support in pre-acquisition and acquisition strategy planning and implementation
Author draft contract management related documents such as pre-solicitation documentation
Provide support in milestone planning, tracking, scheduling, briefing preparation, staff coordination, as well as decision documentation preparation and documentation
Keep current on U.S. Government statutes and governing regulations, such as the FAR, to support pre-award efforts
Document and capture details for acquisition, to ensure that documents are properly executed and compliant with proper controls and regulations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate MUST possess at minimum a valid NACI clearance (public trust)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in Government Acquisition and/or Contract Management, with demonstration of progressive leadership responsibilities;
Four (4) years of experience working in a DoD program office environment
Experience in leading activities associated with performing analyses of alternatives from a DoD agency
Experience in leading a cost/benefit analysis
Working knowledge of the FAR and other agency supplements (e.g. DFARS, AFFARS, and etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop long-term client relationships
Willing to travel between Falls Church and Fort Detrick
(PREFERRED)
Bachelor’s degree in a business concentration
Four (4) years of experience working in an Air Force program office environment
DAWIA Level II, FAC-C (CON) Level II certification or equivalent
Additional contracting certifications (i.e. CFCM, CPCM)
