Commercial Insurance Specialists – MID Level

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust

Vista Defense Technologies, LLC is Hiring Public Assistance Commercial Insurance Specialist’s to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) recovery initiatives in Zone 2 across the Midwest. The Mid-Level will include professional and non-professional personnel to provide support to state, tribal, territorial local governments, and some private non-profits. Vista Defense Technologies, LLC strives to provide support quickly and efficiently to FEMA’s mission by providing assistance to those effected by man-made and natural disasters. FEMA clearance and training will be provided to skilled individuals who have not previously supported FEMA deployments. The Commercial Insurance Specialist’s are responsible for reviewing commercial property insurance documentation including final settlement information and determining amount of actual or estimated insurance proceeds for work.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• This level requires an undergraduate degree and 5 years of relevant professional experience or
15. 10 years of relevant experience
• Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain FEMA Public Trust.
• Must be National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) certified.
• Must be a United States Citizen
• Must maintain FEMA specific trainings
• Must have experience with National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) requirements
• Due to the nature of the work you must have strong Microsoft Office Skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have ability to deploy to any location in zone 2 with a 24-48 hour notice after Task Order Award.
15. Zone 2 includes Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
• Must be comfortable and experienced using a Smart Phone
• Must be able to work independently, in a team environment and under stressful conditions with tight deadlines.

 Desired Qualifications:

• FEMA PA experience preferred
• Knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program/Policy
• Experience determining amount of actual proceeds
• Experience determining future insurance requirements
• Active FEMA badge
• Willing to deploy for 6 months – 12 months
