The Operational Maintenance Technician performs routine scheduled maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run according to manufacturer’s specifications.



1. Perform oil changes and other routine maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run according to manufacturer’s specifications, including maintenance on internal combustion engines, electric motors hydraulic systems and electrical systems

2. Record maintenance and repair work performed by completing necessary paperwork in a timely manner

3. Remove covers for access to replace components for routine maintenance and minor repairs

4. Inspect, operate and test equipment in order to identify components or systems in need of repair

5. Assist in the initial diagnosis of equipment problems and perform minor repairs as required

6. Complete basic technical training as assigned

7. Maintain parts and supplies needed for job completion

8. Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and ensure vehicle is in safe operating conditions

9. Complete vehicle inspections as required

10. Maintain a culture of safety & participate in all safety meetings

11. Maintain required training and safety certifications

12. Perform other related duties as assigned.



Basic Knowledge & Competencies:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Thorough knowledge of all equipment & operations that apply to the branch

• Basic mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge and problem solving skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills


Previous Experience/Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

• 1+ years’ experience in forklift repair or related industry

• Valid driver’s license required



• Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

• Must furnish own tools

• 100% travel to customer sites
