The Strategic Account Director owns and drives digital revenue growth for Top Local Accounts across the enterprise.  This role is responsible for developing and executing initiatives for client acquisition and revenue growth activity in cooperation with market ad leadership and staff.
Primary responsibilities include direct sales, client development and engagement, staff development, pipeline management, product knowledge and revenue modeling.



  • Understand, assess, and develop plans to grow (cross-sell/upsell/new customers) within identified strategic (top local) accounts within BH Media Group. 

  • Train and ensure local sales teams are capable of creating quality proposals after gaining a complete understanding of the client with a thorough needs assessment.

  • Communicate the ROI of the solution and educate the client on the solution, as needed

  • Actively manage inter-market cross-functional relationships with the aim of creating a companywide strategic account growth team

  • Target and build relationships with existing clients and potential clients within local markets

  • Assist local markets and strategic sales teams with sales process and strategy to close additional, incremental revenues

  • Own goal achievement strategies for companywide Big Pitch and Agency Launch initiatives


  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.

  • Experience: 3-4 years prior digital media account management experience required; digital agency experience preferred.

  • Skills: This person must be highly organized, with charismatic and varied communication style. Familiar with both online and offline work. Juggles priorities with boundaries on behalf of both the agency and client.

  • Communicates skillfully. Appreciates creative and design aesthetics.

  • Ability to travel (up to 75%)
