Sr Training & Organizational Develpment Consultant
Working as a member of the Human Resources team, dedicate and provide expert level design and delivery of sales training curricula to internal sales stakeholders and external partners including brokers, intermediaries, and others. Training curricula to include, but not be limited to, Plan products, services, and procedures. Facilitate training for new hires and assist in the ongoing professional development of staff. In addition, provide human resources consultation and support on all aspects of learning and organizational development programs including employee development, performance management, talent management, succession planning and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Conduct needs analyses to identify gaps in the development and training of employees. Design, develop, and deliver interventions to enhance performance at the individual, team, and organization level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Lead the development, documentation, delivery, and evaluation of sales training curricula. Coordinate decisions to make or buy training programs; work within established budgets and timeframes; and utilize a blended learning approach as appropriate.
Ensure all training program activities, educational goals, and training objectiveare met. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness against user specifications to ensure educational requirements and operational needs are met. Recommend and implement program changes as needed.
Conduct training needs assessments. Collaborate with management and/or subject matter experts to identify learning gaps, improve existing programs, and/or develop new programs. Develop and maintain program documentation and reference materials. Ensure training documentation is accurate, current, and made available in a timely manner through technology/systems or other media.
Serve as a resource to internal sales teams, external brokers and intermediaries, and human resources team members.
Facilitate training for new hires; develop programs that support and promote staff professional development. Consult and provide support across divisions around the design and delivery of training necessary to execute strategic programs and initiatives. Provide needs assessment to internal clients; identify gaps in the development and training of employees. Design, develop, and deliver training curriculum to employees at all levels (individuals and managers) and to external partners as needed.
Coordinate and support Blue University, including but not limited to: establishing schedules and curricula to address strategic and enterprise learning needs; implementing all learning systems, assets, and faculty; and collaborating with HR Business Partners and others to maximize learner participation and effectiveness. Measure quarterly progress.
Lead department projects and initiatives which may include mentoring programs, development programs for leaders, high potentials, and individual contributors. Administer feedback assessments (e.g. Predictive Index or others); coach employees on results.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources Management, Adult Education, Organizational Development or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Five or more years of training and development experience, particularly with insurance product or sales training
Healthcare and/or insurance industry experience; knowledge of benefit packages
Preferred Education, Additional Qualifications and Experience:
Professional trainer certification. Professional designation from ATD or SHRM or professional coaching designation
Knowledge of health care issues, Blue Cross products, HMOs, PPOs, POS, financial and banking products. Current or past license for health insurance a plus
Knowledge of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidance as it pertains to compliance and marketing
Certification or qualification on any or all: Predictive Index, Clifton Strengths, DiSC, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
Project and program management; internal or external business consulting experience
