Special Assets, Lending & Collections Assistant
All current BankPlus employees must be in their position for a minimum of 12 months and have a performance rating of Outstanding or High-Performing to be eligible to post for a position.
The Special Assets, Lending & Collections Assistant position is responsible for organizing and efficiently completing the collection functions and administrative duties of the Special Assets and Collections Department and to assist Senior Management and Banking Centers with collection related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Handles correspondence and collection of charged off checking accounts; Responsible for performing duties for department in an efficient and accurate manner, such as, but not limited to; contacting the Customer directly to ask questions and obtain information, preparing documentation and correspondence to make payment arrangements, delivering mail within the department, answering phones, and coordinating scheduling, reporting, and file maintenance; Greet and service all customers in a courteous and professional manner; Ensure all documentation is processed accurately and filed in a timely manner; Perform all duties in compliance with applicable Bank regulations and/or Bank policy and procedures; Participates in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program; Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including, but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act: Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc.; Performs other duties as assigned.
2 -5 years of similar experience, preferred
Bachelor’s degree, preferred
Previous BankPlus products, services, and systems experience, preferred
General computer and typing experience Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Work, and Outlook
Driving, and occasional travel, as needed for business purpose
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary
Ability to handle multiple tasks
