Administrative Assistant - Jewish Museum of Maryland
The Jewish Museum of Maryland, America’s leading museum of regional Jewish history, culture and community, located blocks from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, is currently seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will provide direct administrative support to the Executive Director and Deputy Director.
Other additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Managing correspondences, especially with the Board of Trustees.
Designing and monitoring filing systems.
Ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory of supplies.
Maintaining efficiencies by monitoring and adjusting office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
Providing support for routine tasks including but not limited to, membership renewals, daily accounting settlements, the museum’s monthly Sales and Use tax payments.
Recording minutes at Board meetings.
The skills and qualifications we are looking for:
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
Ability to perform well in a collaborative environment.
Three years administrative experience preferred, but not required.
Salary between $15.00 and $17.50/hour depending on experience.
This position will be 20-24 hours/week with some evenings for Board meetings (approx. twice a year).
