Project Manager - Fiber Construction
The Project Manager ensures the timely, safe and cost effective construction of Shentel transmission sites, towers, collocations, outside plant projects (coax, copper and fiber optic) and civil site development. Coordinate with contractors, public utilities, equipment vendors, third parties and internal departments to achieve stated goals. Additionally, the candidate must be competent at the full scope of project management duties associated with the deployment of multi-service telecommunications networks. Successful candidates must be able to manage in a team environment, working within the operations organization and cross departmentally. Maintains and monitors safety conditions.
a. Education: College degree preferred. Project Management certifications preferred.
i. Five years of telecommunications experience preferred.
ii. Three years of project management experience preferred. Candidates must have a strong understanding and extensive experience in utility/general construction and project management.
