Paya is looking for IT Interns (Technology). This is the ideal role for students who are searching for challenging and exciting projects, professional growth, and fun networking opportunities with a growing Fintech Company.

About the Internship opportunity:
  • This is a paid opportunity
  • Part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) and full-time (40 hours a week) opportunities available. This can be a year-long with a potential to turn into a full-time role, once you graduate
  • Must have housing and transportation (housing not provided)
  • Internships also include the opportunity to return for additional semesters

What you’ll need:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, seeking degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • GPA of 2.8 or higher
Our Interns will have an opportunity to work in different groups as under:

1). Systems Operations Support Associate

The Systems Operations Support Associate will partner with associates in two major areas within Paya’s Technology organization. These areas include our Infrastructure and system operations teams. This is a temporary role with potential to grow into a permanent position.


Major taks, responsibilities & accountabilities:

Planning & Analysis:

  • Uses critical thinking to approach problems and create solutions.
  • Collaborates with senior leaders on assignments.

Delivery & Support:

  • Learns to work as part of a team focused on developing solutions that align with end user needs.
  • Documents, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met.
  • Gains experience in performing configuration, debugging, and support for infrastructure.
  • Learns to maintain, upgrade, and support existing systems and infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure operational stability.
  • Gains experience in standing up the necessary system software.
  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Helps gather information for the technical writer.
  • Must be able to work in odd hours and weekend on rare occasions.
2). Incident Response Support Associate

The Incident Response Support Associate will partner with associates in two major areas within Paya’s Technology organization. These areas include our development, IT and incident teams. This is a temporary role with potential to grow into a permanent position. 

Major tasks, responsibilities & accountabilities:

Planning & Analysis:

  • Uses critical thinking to approach problems and create solutions.
  • Collaborates with senior leaders on assignments.

Delivery & Support:

  • Learns to work as part of a team focused on developing solutions that align with end user needs.
  • Documents, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met.
  • Helps maintain quickbase information and discover root cause of issues that arise.
  • Learns to understand logging and finding solutions from the audit trail provided by logs and gathering information.
  • Gains experience in working in an IT organization.
  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Must be able to work in odd hours and weekend on rare occasions.
3). Network & Phone Support Associate

The Network & Phone Support Associate will partner with associates in two major areas within Paya’s Technology organization. These areas include our phone and network teams. This is a temporary role with potential to grow into a permanent position.
 
Major tasks, responsibilities & accountabilities: 

Planning & Analysis:

  • Uses critical thinking to approach problems and create solutions.
  • Collaborates with senior leaders on assignments.

Delivery & Support:

  • Works with our planning and design engineers to document and help to build a better network.
  • Assists teams in interpreting and creating support processes and procedures.
  • Reporting & Metrics.
  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • CISCO related certifications complete or in progress is nice to have but not required.
  • Must be able to work in odd hours and weekend on rare occasions.
  • Helps gather information for the technical writer.
