Job Summary:

This role is focused on generating net new revenue for Paya Services (ACH/Check, Gift/Loyalty) by targeting and developing strong and profitable relationships with new and existing Paya Services partners. This includes revenue that will avail from Paya payment providers as well as other ISV/Gateways that form part of the Paya 2019 GTM plan. This role will ideally suit an ambitious, balanced and disciplined self-starter, with a high level of proficiency and a proven track record of success in new business solution selling within the payment’s ecosystem. An ‘A’ player who processes a resolute determination to succeed and add value.



  • Establish relationships with Paya Service Partners and secure contracts with new customers that achieve and exceed assigned sales targets.

  • Develop programs to drive merchant acquisition/go live within the Services channel.

  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial partner engagement to closed sale resulting in net new revenue.

  • Deep consultation with prospects about business challenges and requirements, solutions optionality and benefits.

  • Close collaboration with integration, product and marketing specialists as required to address partner requirements.

  • Develop and maintain a specific partner plan which will outline how you will meet your sales target on an ongoing basis.

  • Report on sales pipeline and progression by actively using Sales Force CRM.

  • Grow and expand your network within the Paya channels.

  • Partner with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns.

  • Quickly respond to complicated and diverse RFP’s and RFI’s as they arise.

  • Provide feedback to sales leadership on ways to optimize the sales cycle, enhance sales channels and improve corporate brand identification, promise and reputation.

  • Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to partners by extending company offerings and initiatives. 

  • At all times you will be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace and conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism.


Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Proven track record in a similar role with clear evidence of execution.

  • 6-8 years of relevant payment experience, ideally ACH, EFT Services.

  • Strong analytical skills, applying clear methodology and sound reasoning to your activities and decision making.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation and persuasion skills.

  • Salesmanship and relationship building qualities of the highest standard.

  • Managed long and complex negotiations with third parties.

  • Excellent planning, organization, prioritization and time management discipline.

  • Focused on quality rather than quantity.

  • Tenacious and resilient with a positive, results oriented attitude.

  • The chosen candidate will be expected to be a subject matter expert in the industry or business segment in which you will operate.

  • Attendance at select industry conferences is expected.

  • Travel to a minimum of 25% of your time, sometimes greater.

  • You employ passion, energy, and integrity to your day to day activities and you are a team player.


Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
