Sales General - Business Unit Manager
REPORTING TO: President of Ameri-Kart
SUMMARY: The Business Unit Manager is responsible for visionary leadership of a cross-functional Business Unit Team to ensure the financial performance of the assigned product line,
including bookings, P&L, and new business generation. The Business Unit Manager must be able to work collaboratively with all functional departments to achieve on-time performance,
quality, and overall customer satisfaction.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Include, but are not limited to:
Uses 80/20 as a guiding principle to develop overall vision and strategy for a
specific business segment.
Delivers business results (P&L, meeting annual plan & growth value for a

Deploys LEAN principles in the business unit, incorporating a Continuous Improvement system. Ensures that team members are
equipped with skills such as leading kaizen events.
Ensures that terms and conditions of new proposals and contracts conform to Company policy and business unit strategic business plan.
Reviews all operational and business processes to ensure they meet or exceed quality standards. Ensures customer service and cost objectives are met.
Proposes process improvements based on cultural and business goals.
Exercises organizational development theories, as necessary, to influence major
organizational changes of systems, programs and processes.
5 years of experience in business development and direct sales
activity in a manufacturing company, with responsibility for forecasting,
budgeting, and achieving specific metrics.
5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably within
matrix structure, and including direct reports.
Bachelor of Science Degree required.
Strong business acumen including the following:
